About Jason-Varitek.com:

This site was designed in December, 2005 for me by my friend and web designer Sylvie Morin. All updates and additions are maintained by me. J-V.com has had over 330,552 *actual visitors (as of July 31, 2009, mostly returning readers) with many stopping by from as far away as England, Australia, Japan, Germany, South America and even Switzerland. December, 2008 saw the biggest visitor total for a one month period with 16,494 (despite what sites like quantcast.com claim, which are stats sites that downgrade your viewership based on whether you sign up with their company or not). *Actual "visitors" are those that spend a determined amount of time on the site (calculated by my site hosting company and google analytics) as opposed to simple "hits" that can be automatically generated by web robots, spiders, crawlers, etc...

Regular visitors (daily, weekly basis) make up almost three-quarters of that actual visitor total.

The site's MySpace page, created in November, 2006 has over 3,900 friends.

The content that you'll see on this site was collected by me as well as many fan-contributors.

Submissions of news, fan art, icons, photos, articles, etc. are always welcome and greatly appreciated! (full credit will be given for any contributions).

Please do not hotlink the images on this site!

What is hotlinking and bandwidth theft?

Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <img> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, eBay auction listing, weblog, forum message post, etc.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a web site to a user's computer. When you view a web page, you are using that site's bandwidth to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over its monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.

Websites that offer free image hosting:

Photo Bucket

Images Shack

Web Shots

Free Image Hosting

You are also welcome to simply copy and save any images on this site to your computer (under your documents, your photos or your computer files, for example). If you use the photos sent to me by fans to add to your own site, page or a messageboard, please be considerate and give credit to the fan that took the photograph and that was kind enough to share it here!

Thank you
